The release is version 2.1.186. The headline feature: claude mcp login <name> and claude mcp logout <name>, two new CLI commands that authenticate MCP servers without opening the interactive menu. SSH sessions get --no-browser, which redirects through stdin. Bash ! commands now trigger Claude to respond automatically by default. Set "respondToBashCommands": false in settings to revert to context-only behavior.
Also in the drop: iTerm2 joins the teammate mode roster via teammateMode: "iterm2". AWS credential refresh surfaces in /login when awsAuthRefresh is configured. The agent now gets a compaction reminder when MEMORY.md approaches its size limit. YAML frontmatter handling improves across kebab-case, snake_case, and camelCase. Streaming request failures after machine sleep are patched. Workflow schema validation now aborts at five attempts instead of looping indefinitely.
No API updates. No model news. The SDK has been quiet since June 18.
