Anthropic's Claude Tag, announced Monday as a research preview for Enterprise and Team users, puts Claude inside Slack not as a bot but as a named participant with a persistent organizational identity. Every employee works with the same Claude, enabling task handoffs between teammates without losing context. The ambient mode is the part to watch: Claude follows up on forgotten threads without being tagged.
