The Anthropic Economic Index: Cadences landed Friday, the third quarterly report in Anthropic's running study of how roughly 9,700 survey respondents relate to their Claude usage. The headline finding is structural rather than surprising: Claude usage tracks the rhythms of the outside world. Work queries thin out on weekends, less sharply for the highest-paid occupations. News peaks in the morning. Sleep advice peaks near 5 AM. Tax questions surge around April deadlines. Anthropic linked survey responses to actual usage data via privacy-preserving methods, making this the most empirically grounded picture yet of when and how people actually reach for Claude.
